Our story
Nature Stay Getaways is a family-run collection of 18 cabins, treehouses, farm stays and lakefront homes across Ruby Ranch, Patton Lake and Indianapolis, Indiana.
It started on a 60-acre working farm — Ruby Ranch — where we built our first stays by hand: a treehouse with milled-walnut ceilings, tiny cabins by our private lake, a cowboy bunkhouse by the pasture. Horses in the field, hot tubs under the stars, fire pits at the water's edge. Guests kept telling us the same thing: this doesn't feel like a rental, it feels like an escape. So we kept building — six lakefront cabins on Patton Lake in Martinsville, then homes in the city for guests who stay weeks instead of weekends.
Here's what we believe: people don't remember rooms. They remember the morning fog lifting off the lake, the first fish, the fire that burned past midnight. We're not really in the lodging business — we're in the memory business. The cabins are just how you get here.
Every property is still owner-operated. We clean them, stock them, and answer the phone ourselves — which is also why we'd rather you book direct: no platform fees for you, and you're talking to the people who actually live here.
